Every March, the streets of Minneapolis come alive with shamrocks, celebration, and a sea of green as the city hosts its annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade. But beyond the festivities, one woman rises above the revelry to be crowned Ms. Blarney—a title that carries not only prestige but also an opportunity to make a real difference. In 2025, the honor to make a difference in Minneapolis, will at least in part - belong to Ms. Barnley, who will be the newly crowned Queen of Minneapolis’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade, a title that embodies community, charity, notoriety, influence and leadership.

To participate, applicants must attend the crowning event on Sunday, March 9th at 3 PM at the James Ballentine "Uptown" VFW #246 (2916 Lyndale Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55408). Unlike traditional pageants, Ms. Blarney welcomes single, married, Irish, and ‘Irish by choice’ contestants, emphasizing inclusivity and fun over strict qualifications.

The Pathway to Miss Minnesota

Festival Titles as Stepping Stones: Winning a festival or ambassador title like Ms. Blarney isn’t just about local prestige—it can also serve as a prequalifier for higher state competitions, including Miss Minnesota and Miss Minnesota’s Teen. Many successful state and national titleholders got their start by first representing their communities in festival pageants before stepping onto the bigger stage.

For those considering the Miss Minnesota 2026-2027 competition, holding a festival title could provide a direct path to competing at the state level, showcasing leadership, public speaking, and philanthropic experience.
