Scripture Focus:

“I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy...” — Philippians 1:3–4 (NIV)
“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: if either of them falls down, one can help the other up...” — Ecclesiastes 4:9–10 (NIV)
“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2 (NIV)

Reflection:

In this season of fasting, reflection, and realignment, it’s easy to focus on what needs to be fixed, surrendered, or purified. But Lent is also an invitation to take notice of what’s already good, already a blessing—and the people who carry us through the wilderness moments.

Who is your team? Who listens when you vent? Who sends the text at the right time? Who prays when you can’t? Who makes the journey lighter just by walking beside you?

We’re not built to walk this path alone—and we were never expected to. Jesus Himself had a circle. He had disciples, friends, a mother who followed Him to the foot of the cross, and a beloved companion who cared for His body after death. Even the Savior chose community.

A Grateful Posture

Gratitude for your supporters isn’t just polite—it’s powerful. It keeps your heart from pride. It reminds you that you are not the source of your own strength, and that others have contributed to your progress.

During this Lenten walk, take stock of your inner circle. Who has carried you in prayer? Who has offered wisdom, correction, support, or laughter? Who has loved you well even in your mess?

A Prayer of Thanks

Lord, Thank You for the people who walk beside me. Thank You for the ones who speak life into my purpose, who lend strength when I feel weak, who see me through Spirit-led eyes. Teach me how to love them in return, how to speak life, offer time, and give grace. Bless those who bless me. May I never take my team for granted. And when I’m called to support someone else, help me show up with the same loyalty and joy. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Reflection Questions:

  • Who has been your support during hard seasons?

  • Have you expressed your thanks to them recently?

  • Are there ways God might be calling you to be a stronger support to others?

Lenten Action Step:

Make a list of 3–5 people who have been your anchor, prayer partner, or trusted friend this season. Reach out with a word of thanks. Let them know how much they matter to you—and how their support has made a difference in your life.

Final Word:

We often think of strength as something we muster alone, but in truth, strength is often shared. Your team is part of your testimony.

This Lent, don’t just fast from distractions—feast on gratitude. And remember: in a world that feels heavy, a thankful heart is still one of the strongest lights.

xoxo,
